GPU Instancing

https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/GPUInstancing.html GPU instancing GPU instancing is a  draw call optimization  method that renders multiple copies of a  mesh  with the same material in a single draw call. Each copy of the mesh is called an instance. This is useful for drawing things that appear multiple times in a  scene , for example, trees or bushes. GPU instancing renders identical meshes in the same draw call. To add variation and reduce the appearance of repetition, each instance can have different properties, such as  Color  or  Scale . Draw calls that render multiple instances appear in the  Frame Debugger  as  Draw Mesh (instanced) . Requirements and compatibility This section includes information about the platform, render pipeline, and SRP Batcher compatibility of GPU instancing. Platform compatibility GPU instancing is available on every platform except  WebGL  1.0. Render pipeline compatibility Feature Bu...

UE get player controller

UGameplayStatics :: GetPlayerController ( GetWorld (), 0 );   Then you don't need to iterate through all of them. For example if you are in a Singleplayer Game. 더 ▼ 답변됨  Nov 13 '14 at 4:29 PM eXi 7.2k   ●   340   ●   195   ●   482 18 Depends on what you want to do and where you want to do it. The main way you'd do this is here. for ( FConstPlayerControllerIterator Iterator = GetWorld ()-> GetPlayerControllerIterator (); Iterator ; ++ Iterator ) { }   Some things have the owner variable as a  APlayerController  (`APlayerState`, etc) Clients only have 1 controller, their own. Servers have ALL controllers. You'll want to use  IsLocalPlayerController  to differentiate on the server. 더 ▼ 답변됨  Jul 02 '14 at 2:38 AM Crzyhomer  STAFF 1.3k   ●   35   ●   26   ●   104   dbrizov  Jul 02 '14 at 2:47 AM I see, thank you very much :)   Mungyun  Nov 13 '14 ...

About   Writing         Unreal Engine Custom Node February 1st , 2022 Recently I’ve been playing with raymarching technique and trying to implement it in Unreal Engine material editor. As the algorithm requires a  for loop  meaning it can only be done using HLSL code with the Custom Node. There are many pitfalls using custom node especially when the code is getting complex. The  details panel code editor  is very primitive so we want to edit the code over in like  VSCode ; also more options added into the panel and I barely used before – here I documented some of my  research and tests  for future reference. New custom node options An example: Here is the generated code below. (See the generated code at  Window -> HLSL Code  in the Material Editor.) Note that  FMaterialPixelParamete...
